Project Coordinators play a critical role in the success of a construction project—but too often, the position is treated primarily as an administrative role and defined by a list of tasks rather than by its broader project impact.
This program is designed to clarify the role of the Project Coordinator and bridge the gap between completing processes and understanding how that work affects the project across the full project lifecycle—from preconstruction and project startup through execution, closeout, and post-construction. Participants will learn how their responsibilities connect to the broader project, how strong coordination increases the capacity of the Project Manager and supports the field team, and how accurate information, proactive follow-up, and sound judgment help keep work moving forward.
The course goes beyond process training. It combines practical tools, construction knowledge, real-world examples, and the perspectives of both Project Coordination and Project Management. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of what it means to serve as a trusted project partner—not simply someone who completes assigned tasks, but someone who understands the project, anticipates needs, protects critical details, identifies issues, and contributes to stronger decisions and better project outcomes.
Participants will leave with greater clarity about the purpose and value of their role, increased confidence, stronger project awareness, and practical tools they can immediately apply to increase their impact on their teams, projects, and organizations.
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
