Please join Master Builders of Iowa in an immersive workshop experience to learn about the lean practice of Target Value Delivery with Christian Pikel from The ReAlignment Group.
Staying within allowable budget and time constraints while ensuring the team decreases waste and increases value to the customer are attributes of successful project delivery, and can be achieved through Target Value Delivery (TVD). TVD is a disciplined management practice with several phases (business case planning, validation, value delivery and value post construction) meant to be applied holistically to obtain maximum value and can be enhanced through contractual or behavioral team integration practices. The phases of TVD can be supplemented by core components like team organization; big room; project planning; cost modeling; continuous estimating; and conceptual design.
Start your journey towards mastering each of the TVD phases and all of the core components through simulation, group discussion and step-by-step guidance in the 7-hour TVD education course to align your project deliverables with customer-defined value. This immersive hands on workshop experience will guide participants through application of TVD practice in a team based fictitious project scenario. Prior experience or education in introductory lean or integrated project delivery courses is a benefit. Participation by individuals with roles across the design and construction spectrum (including owners, designers, contractors and trades) is encouraged to support the project experience.
• Describe the team culture attributes required to support TVD
• Understand how to align project deliverables with customer-defined value
• Describe major phases in the TVD process and how they relate
• Gain first-hand experience with typical challenges and decisions that arise in TVD
