Many employers with more than 10 employees are required to keep a record of serious work-related injuries and illnesses. Minor injuries requiring first aid only do not need to be recorded. Keeping accurate records is important for more reasons than just regulation compliance. It can help you to identify injury/illness trends in the workplace, allowing you to correct deficiencies and lower injury and illness rates. Doing proper determinations can prevent inflation of your injury/illness rates, reducing workers’ compensation and insurance costs. This webinar is designed to assist employers with making and maintaining accurate injury and illness records. Topics covered include determination of work-relatedness, determination of new cases, what is medical treatment and what is first aid, multiple business establishments, covered employees and more.
