OSHA standards were established to protect the safety and health of your employees in conditions where they may be exposed to the health hazards of lead, asbestos and silica.
In the construction industry, exposure is most often related to demolition, repair, and maintenance activities being performed on residential, commercial, and industrial job sites.
In this interactive workshop, we will discuss materials that could potentially contain lead, asbestos or silica, situations in which they may be disturbed (knowingly or unknowingly) and which standards apply.
Topics of all three materials will include: health hazards; permissible exposure levels; medical surveillance; recordkeeping; air monitoring; respiratory protection and protective clothing; training requirements; compliance; and best management practices.
